I wonder when it was that the heat would ease after Obon. On my way back from Maruzen’s main store to buy this book, I stopped off at Tenshinan to eat some soba noodles and chat with the owner.

NEMESIS. The book that Reiko Fuchigami, the president of the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, was holding in her hand on the bookshelf of the Nikkei Newspaper’s Leader was a translated paperback edition. Feeling nostalgic, I searched the Amazon Kindle store and found that the Miss Marple Series was on a limited-time sale. I would have been fine with the translated edition, but I made the effort to go to the bookstore and buy the paperback edition. I don’t like to read mysteries in electronic publications.
